General
The BERJAYA Journal of Services & Management is published bi-annually, every January and July.
Contributors must agree to grant the Editorial Board the rights or license to the intellectual property in the paper submitted. The Editorial Board has the sole discretion to accept or reject the paper without assigning any reason whatsoever. It also has the right to have the paper reviewed by a third party and edited in any manner deemed fit.
Papers requiring amendments will be sent back to the main author who will be required to make corrections before sending it back to the Editor within 10 working days.
Presentation
The submitted paper must present the following items in this order from top to bottom of the first page:
(a) the full title of the paper not exceeding 25 words;
(b) full name and institutional affiliation of the author, with the surname/family name/last name given in bold (also bold given name where appropriate or customary);
(c) email address;
(d) full postal address (with telephone number);
(e) an abstract of not more than 200 words summarizing the research purpose/s, method/s, findings, and conclusion and/or implication/s of the study; and
(f) three or four keywords (indicating the fields, subfields, and/or topic areas).
Write all papers for submission in English using a 12-point Times New Roman font, single spacing and a one-inch margin on all four sides of a page. The length of a paper should not exceed 20 pages or 5,000 words inclusive of an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, results/findings, discussion, conclusion and/or implications. Tables, figures, reference list, and appendices are excluded from the word count.
Main Author & Correspondence
Collaborative papers must include the full names and addresses of all the authors. The main author’s name should appear first. All correspondences will be directed to the main author who represents all the other authors.
Email a soft copy of a paper submission in Microsoft Word document (.doc) to editor@berjaya.edu.my
Certificate of Originality
Read and fill out the Certificate of Originality on your submitted paper. Submit a soft copy of it together with your paper to the Journal Editor.
Referencing
This journal requires a full APA (American Psychological Association) referencing method. When a reference is made to a paper in a journal, the title of the journal until the volume number will be in italics. Note that the title of the paper will neither be in italics nor fully capitalised. The second and subsequent rows should all observed a 0.3 cm indentation.
